Dressmaking for Teenagers ( from age 10 years and up)


You will be introduced to the basics of sewing including how to use the sewing machine,
lay out and correctly mark your fabric.  You will also learn sewing straight, curved  seams and how to overlock them. Gathering, elastic casings, hemming, darts and facings will be covered too. Completing this course will allow you to enrol in adult Beginners Dressmaking classes.


Projects include boxer shorts, gathered skirts.

We accept suggestions if you want to do different garments suitable for your level.




We have a range of fabric, wool and haberdashery for sale to get you started on your chosen project.

All students will receive a 10% discount on materials purchased for the class.
